Married Billy Nickell from Andrews, Tx. after graduating from University of North Texas in 1974 with a BS in Ele. Education. Never taught school, but went directly into full time ministry as evangelist. Traveled across the US for 6 years and settled down in Canyon, Tx. as Pastor's of First Assembly of God church for the next 22 years. Raised our girls there in Canyon and have been Pastoring in Amarillo, Tx. for the last 8 1/2 years at First Assembly. We have 7 precious grandchildren all who live here in Amarillo along with their parents. Oldest Daughter, Felecia and her hubby also Pastor here in Amarillo (a church not far from us) and our youngest, Andrea and her hubby own "The Car Lot" and they along with their 3 children attend our church.
Billy has recently accepted a part time position in Lubbock at our District Office. While continuing his Pastorate here in Amarillo, this new position requires us to be in Lubbock more frequently and has been enjoyable due to the home we have out in Ransom Canyon. We are enjoying our family and our lives together as we continue to follow God's Plans for our ministry.
I would love to see my DC classmates...so sorry I was unable to attend the class reunion at Judy's. If anyone comes through Amarillo, stop and give me a call....I would be honored!!!

Love all of the memories....but being in the musical "Oklahoma" is at the top of the list. So much fun preparing and preforming. Loved being in choir and going to contest...bunches of sweet friends. Truly was blessed to grow up in Denver City....you can take the girl out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the girl!!! |
